Passed away peacefully at the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site - Janet McDonell Pavilion, on Wednesday, February 10, 2010. Theodore “Ted” Campbell McNaughtan of Cornwall; formerly of Dalhousie Station; age 88 years. Ted was born in Dalhousie, Quebec on November 22, 1921. Beloved husband of the late Esther Ruth McNaughtan (nee Robinson). Beloved son of the late James McNaughtan and the late Annabell McNaughtan (nee Campbell). Survived by his son Darryl McNaughtan (Teri Mulligan), daughter Ruth Brodie (Ewen Dewar), and grandson Robert Brodie (Jackie Schellingerhoud); all of Cornwall. Dear brother of Agnes Hamre (late Edmond) of Cornwall, Anna May Wightman (late Clifford) of Lancaster, and Jean Gardner (Melvin) of Bainsville. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one brother Duncan McNaughtan (late Anne MacKenzie) and two nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 46 Oak Street, Lancaster (613) 347-3629 on Sunday, February 14, 2010 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. A celebration of Ted’s life will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church (The Round Church), Dalhousie Mills on Monday, February 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Andrew’s United Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. As a memorial to Ted, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows - memories live. Condolences may be made online at www.munromorris .com

An Introduction from volume 1 forward.

This is an announcement of a work consisting of a 4 volume set, around 1600 pages with an index in each volume, on the McNaughton Families of Glengarry and area, which includes Soulanges County in Quebec and some from Stormont County. In some McNaughton families, the descendants have been found across both Canada and the USA. Volume 1 consists of those so listed whose christian name begins with A, B, C, and D.
I know I have not included all the McNaughton families from Glengarry but I hope I have found most of them. I did not do any research in the Scottish records for Scotland, I will leave that up to you. 

Volume 1 A to D,  over 460 pages, has a number of family tree charts,  many obituaries, numerous baptisms, marriages, death records.
Volume 2 E to L,  over 460 pages, has a number of family tree charts,  many obituaries, numerous baptisms, marriages, death records.
Volume 3 A to D,  around 450 pages, has a number of family tree charts,  many obituaries, numerous baptisms, marriages, death records.

Volume 2 which will contain the Christian names beginning with E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L has over 460 pages of material, many family tree charts, documentation to assist the reader better identify the person concerned. Also includes a name index as did volume 1 and as will volume 3. These indeces in each volume are for that volume only.

Volume 2 to should be ready for shipping by the end of July to those who have prepaid. The single cost of volume 2 will be $55.00 + S&H of $13.50

Volume 3 covers the remainder of the christian names M to W. Will have approximate the same number of pages of material, many family tree charts documentation to assist the reader better identify the person concerned.

Volume 3 to should be ready for shipping by early September, maybe sooner to those who have prepaid. The single cost of volume 2 will be $55.00 + S&H of $13.50

Volume 4 There will be a volume 4 which will be optional to the above 3 volume set. This volume will contain the combined name index from all 3 volumes. The single cost of volume 4 will be $25.00 + S&H. S&H to be determined when volume is completed. This volume should be ready in the last half of September, maybe earlier.
